Dead Like Harry return with their first album in 13 years.  The album, titled, Visions of a Dream will be released on November 14th.

Dead Like Harry release their first new music in 13 years, with the launch of their new album “Visions of a Dream”. The album forms a collection of songs where the band looks to their own collective past for inspiration.

The title track from the album was written late one evening in February 2024. Matthew Taylor explains “The song was written on a cold February evening. I sat at my piano and started experimenting with a minor chord sequence. The room was dimly lit, and I found myself dreaming of events from my past, one after another. I started to write down what I was thinking about, and the song seemed to write itself over the course of an hour. We had already started work on the new album and so I showed the rest of the band in the studio the following day. John came up with the idea of playing the song to a drum-loop, and as the events in the song were from 30 years ago, soaking the production in synthesisers – something we’d never done with a Dead Like Harry recording before. The song came alive that night in the studio. The recording has an other-worldly feel to it – as if we’d tapped into something supernatural. It set the tone for the production on the rest of the album.”

The 9 track album was recorded in the Bear Pit Studios in Sheffield gradually over an 18 month period. An ever evolving piece of work that took shape as the band worked to find their sound and build the foundations for their first release in 13 years. John Redgrave sat at the helm for the album production and introduced new elements of synthesisers and drum machines that helped forge a new sound for the band.

VISIONS OF A DREAM is released on November 14th, 2025 across all digital platforms.
