ANYTOWN

Anytown is the solo project by Matt Taylor from Sheffield band Dead Like Harry, formed in 2010 as an outlet for some of Matt’s songs that sat more comfortably in the folk world. Anytown have released two albums to date. 2013’s Trouble on the Water is a collection of tracks that set as their background maritime themes and coastal landscapes, inspired mainly by Matt’s time living on the North Yorkshire coast in Scarborough. In 2019, Anytown released their second album Year by Year. This album explored Matt’s journey with his young family, from meeting his wife Abbi, through to the birth of their two children Archie and Ivor.

Matt was joined by brother Sam on both albums, as well as band friends John Redgrave, Robin Baker and Alice Faraday. Sam and John also recorded and produced the album Year by Year.
